The Leaky Palapa offers traditionally prepared high-quality
food with a modern edge, made entirely in house with inspiration
from Mexico, the Caribbean coast and a touch of continental
cuisine.
Our menu, which changes weekly and sometimes daily, takes
Mexican flavors and fuses them with a blend of the unexpected. We
are proud of our use of all local lobster and fish and purchase
directly from local fisherman at the end of each fishing day.
Living in such a beautiful remote village does present us with some
challenges. In order to stock our kitchen we must drive 5 hours
round trip each week to the nearest city. It is just large enough to
carry most of the ingredients we need to create our menus. This
challenge affords us the chance to be innovative and creative while
offering our guests the opportunity to savor some new culinary
experiences.
