Xcalak can be found at the south-eastern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula, just a short boat ride away from Ambergris Caye, Belize. From the arrival at the airport in Cancun, it is a 5 hour trip south via the 307. Along the way, stop in Puerto Morelos, shop in Playa del Carmen, visit ruins in Tulum, Chacchoben or Coba, swim the cenotes of the Akumal area, visit the Biosphere of Sian Kaan or the Costa Maya Port in Majahual. Whether you arrive by plane or cruise ship, Xcalak is worth the trip.
